Shipping & Collection Policy

Welcome to The Crumb Sanctuary! All of our treats are baked fresh and shipped on specific days so they arrive at your door in perfect condition. Because we do not use chemical preservatives, we work on a strict weekly schedule to ensure transit times are as short as possible.

📦 Our Shipping Options

We offer two premium shipping options at checkout to ensure your bakes arrive fresh and delicious:

1. Standard Express: Royal Mail Tracked 24

  • Delivery Window: 1 to 2 business days (the vast majority of parcels arrive the next day).
  • Delivery Days: Delivered Monday to Friday, as well as throughout the weekend.
  • Tracking: Fully tracked with SMS/Email notifications and a photo confirmation upon delivery.

2. Guaranteed Weekend Delivery: DPD Saturday Delivery

  • Delivery Window: Guaranteed delivery on Saturday.
  • Why Choose This: This is our only option that guarantees a Saturday arrival. It is perfect for time-sensitive weekend events, parties, or gifts.
  • Tracking: Includes a precise 1-hour delivery window sent to your phone or email on Saturday morning so you do not have to wait in all day.

⏰ Dispatch & Order Cut-Off Times

  • Weekly Order Cut-Off: To ensure maximum freshness, our weekly order cut-off is Thursday at 2:00 PM.
  • Friday Dispatch: All standard orders placed before the Thursday 2:00 PM cut-off will be freshly baked and dispatched on Friday morning.
  • Weekend Deliveries: Royal Mail Tracked 24 shipments dispatched on Friday are routinely delivered on Saturday or Sunday. If you require a guaranteed Saturday arrival for a specific event, please upgrade to our DPD Saturday Delivery service at checkout.
  • Weekend Ordering: Orders placed after our Thursday 2:00 PM cut-off time or over the weekend will be freshly baked and dispatched on Monday morning. This prevents your fresh bakes from sitting in a courier depot over the weekend.
  • Standard Timeline: Please allow 3 to 4 working days from the day you place your order for your package to arrive (though we often ship sooner!).

✨ Product Exceptions

  • Sweet Boxes: Dispatched 1 to 2 working days after you order, Monday to Saturday.
  • Party Brownie Bites: Require 7 days' notice. Please use the date picker on the product page to choose your delivery or collection date.

🎁 Gifting & Specific Dates

  • Date Picker: Buying a gift for a specific date? Please use the date picker when building your box so we can align our baking schedule with your event.

⚠️ Perishable Goods & Address Accuracy

Because our products are perishable food items, please ensure someone is home to receive the delivery or that you have specified a safe, cool place with the courier via their tracking app. We cannot accept liability for items that spoil because they could not be successfully delivered on the first attempt.

Collection:

Orders are available for collection from West Wickham. After check out, we will contact you with the pick up address and pick up date (inline with our baking schedule).
